Networks Industrial Biotechnology

Research and development in the methods of industrial biotechnology calls for complex skills in modern biology, chemistry, engineering, and application technology. This is why collaboration with first-rate partners is a must for developing successful products and processes in the face of global competition. We seek partnerships with established industries, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and academic institutions at both the national and international level.

Our research and development aims to point the way forward and explore unknown territory. To hedge the scientific and technical as well as financial risks implicit in research of this nature, we and our partners seek public funding from national and European support programs.

Evonik Industries is a founding member of the industrial biotechnology cluster CLIB2021 e.V. Dr. Manfred Kircher of Science-to-Business Bio is chairman of the board of CLIB2021. In this way Science-to-Business Bio supports the development of competitive expertise in industrial biotechnology in industry, SMEs, and academic institutions in North Rhine-Westphalia and Germany.
