The goal of this line of development is to significantly increase the energy savings potential of Evonik production processes by utilizing alternative technologies.

There are still unused potentials in chemical processes to increase the energy efficiency that lead to an accompanying reduction of CO₂ emissions. Highly energy consuming thermal separation processes and low calorific heat streams from chemical and power generating systems can be for instance replaced and better utilized through innovative processes.
