Membrane Testing, Application, and Electrolysis
Patrick Borowski is head of the AEM technology lab team in the Innovation Domain Anion Exchange Membrane at Creavis. He oversees the testing of the membrane’s properties, its processing to a membrane electrode assembly (MEA), and the final testing in electrolysis cells.
“I believe that water electrolysis will become the most important electrochemical process in the future. During my chemical engineering studies, I already started to focus on technical electrochemistry, which placed me in an ideal position to contribute to the success of the AEM technology. DURAION® is the key component to make electrochemical hydrogen production cost-competitive. In doing so, efficient and compact water electrolyzers will become suitable for a wide range of applications.”
