Success Stories

Completed Projects

Since Creavis was founded, many applications, technologies and competence platforms have emerged from Creavis. Some examples can be found here.

CALOSTAT®

CALOSTAT® is an innovative, award-winning high-performance material used to produce slim, safe and sustainable insulation boards. In the construction industry, it fills the gap of a non-combustible high-performance insulation material and is considered for various demanding insulation applications.

TAeTTOOz®

New material technology for printable batteries: TAeTTOOz® was developed on the basis of redox polymers. The new materials can be processed into very thin, flexible battery cells using standard printing processes.

ELASTOMER PHOTOPOLYMER FOR DIRECT MANUFACTURING

Highly flexible 3D objects
Together with Cubicure, a spin-off company of Vienna University of Technology, Creavis developed an innovative radiation-curing resin system for direct manufacturing.

organophilic nanofiltration

Efficient recovery
Many industrial processes use organic solvents, which have to be recovered at a later point in time. This recovery is accomplished primarily through thermal separation methods, which require a lot of energy, usually in the form of heat. An energy-efficient, resource-efficient alternative is provided by organophilic nanofiltration.

Glycolipids

Natural cleaning power
With RHEANCE® One the Personal Care Business Line at Evonik has launched the first of its glycolipid products, opening up a new dimension in gentle yet effective skin and hair cleansing.

Life Cycle Management

Viewing products and processes as a whole
Sustainability is one of the most important criteria that Evonik considers when developing new products and solutions. For this reason, Evonik established a Life Cycle Management (LCM) team in 2009 to support research units, operations, and Group headquarters with life cycle assessments.

Fermentation

Pharmaceutical amino acids from the bioreactor
The fact that Evonik is now one of the world's leading suppliers of amino acids for various markets and applications is also thanks to the researchers at Creavis.

Creavis Project Houses

Since 2000 Evonik has started eleven Project Houses. The Project Houses have covered a vast range of topics and made vital contributions to the group’s research effort.
